Cleveland Home and Garden Show

Greetings!  It’s been too long since our last post!

Coming this weekend, the Southwest Greens crew will travel north to the great city of Cleveland.   Saturday, February 6th begins the Cleveland Home and Garden Show at the XI Center.  The show runs through the following weekend.  We will have a demo green to chip and putt on, as well as be available to answer any questions about our product…

New Ohio Headquarters!!

Southwest Greens of Ohio is pleased to announce plans for our new Central Ohio Headquarters!

Next week we will be combining our current warehouse facilities in Hilliard and our office in Grandview Heights to a new location on the Northwest side of town.  The new building is situated on two acres near the SportsOhio site off Route 161 W.

Plans include the creation of a new practice green for our clients.

Nothing hits closer to home than seeing the smiles on the faces of families who know they have something special.

Let me introduce a budding young player in Bexley.  She plays in junior golf tournaments.  This year she has already won a tournament in her division twice!  Shot 47 for nine holes…  twice.  She is 11!

Southwest Greens of Ohio Meets Jack Nicklaus

Southwest Greens of Ohio is a partner with Nicklaus Design.  On Saturday of the Memorial Tournament, we had the opportunity to meet with the founder of Nicklaus Design, Jack Nicklaus to discuss the design for the upcoming Varsity Golf Center project at The Ohio State University.  It was a great personal pleasure as a Columbus native to have this meeting!  When completed, this new facility will be the largest and finest in the country.  Go Bucks!

The Ohio State University Varsity Golf Center

We are pleased to announce that Southwest Greens and Nicklaus Design have been awarded the contract to provide our synthetic surfaces for use at the new indoor Varsity Golf Center at The Ohio State University.  The project involves retro fitting a 26,000 sq. ft. building to include offices, storage, video review and a 20,000 sq. ft. practice area.

At its completion, this will be the largest and finest facility in the country.

We’ll keep all the Buckeye fans posted on the progress!

The Memorial Tournament

Visit our demo green this week at the sixth tee entrance (Bogey Inn parking lot)!  We have teamed up with the Memorial Tournament to offer a chance to win tickets for 2010.  Make a putt, get an entry.  It’s that simple.  Or is it?  I did put some tricky breaks in the green, so bring your touch!  Hope to see you all….
